Love All Over

I have been absent for a couple of days (sorry!!), but I haven't been anywhere, so I haven't had an outfit to post. Today, I felt like wearing something fun and free. I have had this blouse in my closet for about 4 months now and I hadn't worn it yet, so I figured today was the day to pull it out. It's a wrap shirt that I got from the BCBG Outlet for about $40. Usually when I go in BCBG, I don't find much that I can wear on a day-to-day basis - usually I find special occassion pieces, but I saw this shirt amongst a whole heap of other shirts and it caught my eye. When I brought it to the register to check out, the clerk told me that she loved the shirt, but that most shy away from it because it is quite bright, but that's what I love the most about it. It has personality. In case you can't see the pattern, it is small hearts in pinks, purples, and oranges. The shirt is super-light and great for the summer and spring - not too heavy of a fabric.

The shoes are from Charlotte Russe - they were about $15. Love them! Love the price even more! Great summer shoes! I tend to splurge the most on shoes and handbags because they are my favorite accessories to any outfit, but when you can find a cheap pair of shoes that are comfortable, cute, and work well with an outfit - why not?

A Man's Touch

I finally decided to wear these oxfords today. I have had them for about 2 months and I have wanted to try the trend of wearing men's-inspired oxfords for quite some time and I finally decided to do it today. These shoes were originally $80, but at the Aldo Outlet Store, they were actually on clearance so I got them for about $26 (smoking deal!!). I like the way that the outfit turned out! I love this shirt too that I got from the J. Crew Outlet Store. It's also my first time wearing this shirt and I have had it in my closet for several months now.

One thing that I really need to work on in is incorporating more accessories to make my outfits stand out just a bit more. I wear the same necklace everyday that my fiance got me for Valentine's Day about 4 years ago and the same earrings usually everyday, so I want to work on diversifying my jewelry collection.

Shopping Tip: At J. Crew stores, if you have a college student ID and present it at checkout, you will receive a 10% discount on your purchase every time! 10% isn't a lot, but hey, it's better than the 0% discount you had before.

And We're Off...

I am so excited to launch the first installment of my blog for you all to share in. I have sort of an obsession for shopping and browsing the Internet for styles that I love and that inspire me to create my outfits everyday. Now, I am not saying that I am the most fashionable person in the world, but rather that I enjoy scouring high and low for cute items, pairing items together to make a look, and seeing how others respond to what I've done and even what they have put together themselves.

A couple of things about me and what influences my style:
I am a recent law school graduate and with that comes limited funds, so I am always looking for a "smoking deal." (I got that quote from a guy on House Hunters.) I love dressing up, but don't get me wrong, I definitely dress down too...especially now that I am studying for the Bar (which I should be doing now as opposed to typing this entry). I am a girly girl and my biggest obsession are shoes. I have over 100 pairs!! I know, it's so bad - don't judge me! :)

I have been trying to individualize my style more so recently. I take the trends and make them my own or recreate my favorite celebs' style on my limited budget. My goal through this blog is to just share with you all and experiment with some new things.

Here is the outfit that I wore today and where you can find these items:

Because I am near a pretty good outlet mall, I do a lot of my shopping there, and if you know when to
go or you just get lucky, you can find some really great deals there. I found the shoes at the BCBG Outlet store and they weren't exactly a steal ($110), but I loved them and had to have them. I love the detail on the sole of the shoes and they are so comfortable.

I purchased the dress online from Hautelook.com. If you don't know about this website, then where the hell have you been? This site provides amazing deals on designer brands - a new designer everyday. The sales for any particular item will last usually about 2-3 days. And they have recently changed the return policy, so that you can return the item that you don't like for a money refund, whereas previously, you could only get an online store credit. There is a bit of a shipping delay for some items, but the wait is well worth it, as it was for this dress when I got it in the mail. Super soft, really comfortable, and great for summer!

So, let me know what you think about my outfits, make suggestions, ask me questions, whatever! All I ask is that you enjoy!
